The highly anticipated sci-fi drama series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” has been announced by Apple TV+. The series will follow two siblings who uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization Monarch, which studies giant monsters. The series is set in the Monsterverse, the same fictional universe as the Godzilla and Kong movies.
Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell will star in the series as the same character, Army officer Lee Shaw, in different time periods. The series will also star Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski.
“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” is co-developed by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, and it will be directed by Matt Shakman. The series is executive produced by Black, Fraction, Shakman, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Matt Shakman, Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville.
