Top 5 Slasher Films for Halloween Eve

Everyone enjoys a good slasher film to get their blood pumping and their mouth screaming “DO NOT GO IN THERE!” Here’s my choices for Top 5 Slasher Films!

5. TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: TCSM-PosterFive friends visiting their grandfather’s house in the country are hunted and terrorized by a chain-saw wielding killer and his family of grave-robbing cannibals.

One word that drove fear into me as a kid: “Leatherface”

4. nightmare on elm streetA NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: Several people are hunted by a cruel serial killer who kills his victims in their dreams. When the survivors are trying to find the reason for being chosen, the murderer won’t lose any chance to kill them as soon as they fall asleep.

This film made me sleep in my parents’ bed until I was 19. It was pretty awkward when I started dating.

3. HALLOWEEN: MV5BMTkxMjczMzA4NV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwNjA4MTM5._V1__SX1194_SY637_On Halloween night of 1963, 6-year old Michael Myers stabbed his sister to death. After sitting in a mental hospital for 15 years, Myers escapes and returns to Haddonfield to kill.

Because of the name “Michael Myers,” I couldn’t watch the “Austin Powers” films until very recently.

2. Friday the 13thFRIDAY THE 13TH: A group of camp counselors is stalked and murdered by an unknown assailant while trying to reopen a summer camp which, years before, was the site of a child’s drowning.

This film is the reason why I would never go to summer camp with my friends. A little lonely, sure… but at least I’m still alive!

1. SCREAM: Attempting to cope with her mother’s murder, Sydney and her horror movie-obsessed friends are stalked by a murderer who seems to have a hard time letting the past go.

Drew Barrymore?! I mean, c’mon! DREW BARRYMORE?!
