The Addams Family 2019 Movie Review

The Addams Family

Finally in time for this Halloween season comes: The Addams Family. Their creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re all together ooky the Addams Family. This new animated take on our favorite odd ball family seems to be based on the original Charles Addams Cartoon drawings from back in the 1930’s as they do have an almost morbid appearance. But don’t let that throw you off, since they do stick to the bizarre antic that we’ve all grown to love, and the kiddo will grow to love them too.

Now let’s ask ourselves ‘What is normal’? Is your normal the norm? Or is my normal the norm? Well, that’s what this movie is set out to explain, which is a great message for this young generation. Lending their voices for this movie is Charlize Theron as Morticia Addams, Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, Chloe Grace Moretz as daughter Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as son Pugsley and of course Nick Kroll as uncle Fester. Each of these actors bring a little zing to there characters which is pretty awesome. Chole Grace Mortez did an outstanding job as this movies plot did seem to be based around Wednesday and how curious she is to know what the outside world is like past their steel gates. Her rebellious methods are quite subtle and cute at that.

The animation really brings it to life and all the actors voiced these characters extremely well. I did catch myself laughing a bit to loud for my taste at some of the gags that both kids bring to the big screen. I love how they introduce you to how they become a family and how they come to meet Lurch their butler. This movie will keep your children very entertained and if you are a kid at heart like I am, them you will also enjoy it. This will become another family friendly movie to watch every Halloween or even on family movie night as it dose make for couple of snaps.
