Plot Synopsis
“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” picks up after the earth-shattering battle between Godzilla and the Titans, which devastated San Francisco and revealed the existence of monsters. The storyline follows two siblings on a journey to uncover their family’s ties to the enigmatic organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the mysterious world of monsters, with a narrative that shifts between the 1950s and the present, where Army officer Lee Shaw (portrayed by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell) plays a pivotal role. The saga spans three generations, unveiling long-buried secrets and illustrating how monumental events can shape our lives.

This epic series is brought to you by Legendary Television and is co-developed and executive produced by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. Matt Shakman directs the first two episodes and joins the team as an executive producer alongside Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures, Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita executive produce on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., the custodian of the Godzilla character. Toho’s collaboration with Legendary for “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” underscores their longstanding relationship with the iconic film franchise.
