Release Date: August 25th 2009
From the director of Superbad comes Adventureland, a smart, witty comedy we can all relate to. When James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg) has to cancel his dream summer vacation and make some money for grad school, the only job he can get is at Adventureland, a tacky amusement park where the games are rigged and the rides make you hurl. But it’s where he meets Em (Kristen Stewart, Twilight), and his rollercoaster ride to nowhere turns into the best summer ever.

  1. This movie isn’t a comedy at all. Never did i find myself laugh my butt of. It’s more of a coming of age film and drama than anything else. Ryan Reynolds was wasted in this film. Kristen Stewart was so good in her role and she was the only thing worth watching in this film. This movie isn’t a keeper. Rent it to check it out for yourself but it’s a decent film. Nothing special. I enjoyed it but it was slow at times but at the same time smart. I give it two out of five stars.

  2. Not funny! Sorry.
Watch it to see the girl from Twilight take some dork from Superbad’s virginity (you know she’s hot, and it’s better then to see her with some sparkly vegan vampire {wtf?})
There are some laugh’s. Genuine laugh’s, but the romance behind them ring’s an awkward tone that isn’t played off well. I watched this in the theater, a.k.a., I am very pissed off for spending 26 dollar’s on me and my date’s back up B movie when it wasn’t funny enough.
(I am watching the third season of Dexter! It’s so good you have to stop and rewind, well, not stop actually just press the rewind button, but you have to press it twice to make it x10)
    This movie overall SUCKS!
I dare anyone to tell me different/
    It doesn’t deserve stars . . . . . . . .

  3. This movie was not a comedy at all it was more of a drama with humor lol.
This movie is pretty true to life and how it is to work at an amusement park outside of the gettin the hottest chick there to fall in love with you park of course lol.
I love her because she plays every role like a real teenage girl sometimes a not so bright teenage girl but than again when are teens very bright lol.
It was a very well casted movie and funny when it needed to be.
I know that she was not playing a teen in this movie but she sure as hell acted like one lol.
I guess it’s hard to play someone thats over 21 when you just barely turned 20 yourself.
I liked this movie very much and would reccomend this movie to my friends, family, coworkers, and customers.
    3.2 stars.
