DVD Review: Clash of the Titans
As a mythological masterpiece, The Clash of the Titans will bring good memories to the loyal fans of the original stop-motion film. Though the new story is way different from the original script, the film seems to take a new life and with it a new perspective.
In The Clash of the Titans the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
Even thou the film have been given a bad rap from the the critic community, I found it to be very impressive and worth the wait. If I have anything bad to say about the film is that I would of preferred to have watched it in 2D. The 3D experience was not bad but the film felt a bit jumpy at times. I do understand that the movie is also been presented in DBOX which is a good alternative.
The Film was directed by Louis Leterrier who has also directed Transporter 2 and The Incredible Hulk.
All in all, I found The Clash of the Titans to be a solid film and one worth watching. So Take a stand and go see the film. Choose your own fate.
